A lot of people see Mom as absentminded, forgetting to call, even though she made an appointment. And they don’t know that Mom believes in the people she wants around her, and that’s beautiful. And the rest… She’s gullible, the kind of child who gets lost. When I walk around Warsaw with her, she treats the landscape like a toy store. She’ll walk up, smell a flower. I say, “Mom, let’s go,” and she says, “Such a beautiful flower. Sometimes I feel like I’m walking with a child. And on the other hand, this strong backbone of hers, which protects her from mistakes. I think she is wonderful,” she told Krystyna Pytlakowska.
