Event celebrates women’s achievements, providing them a platform to express themselves.
BeingShe hosted an award ceremony under the patronage of Sheikh Juma Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum on May 20, 2023, recognising and honouring over 40 exceptional women for their outstanding achievements across diverse fields.
The ceremony was hosted by Eve, with co-host Wassim Mandil, and also included government officials, advisors to the royal family, media and business leaders.
Aparna Bajpai, the CEO of BeingShe emphasised that BeingShe Excellence is about acknowledging and celebrating the accomplishments of women & providing them a platform to express themselves.
The event highlighted several women who were recognised for their excellence across segments. Abeer Al Iedani, Dorota Goldpoint, Elena Thedvall, Juria Ajijul, Nazgol Rashidazari, Sara Arnold, Sarvé Norouzi, Mariana Turchio, Nada Al Barazi, Tasneem Alibhai, and Rafa Tom were honoured for Excellence in Arts.
Farah Moulana, Kiran Khawaja, Dina Tarek, and Sreesudha Rajesh received recognition for Excellence in Business. Aditi Jhunjhunwala, Chinnu George, Dr. Kavita, Julie De Castro, Kavita Acharya, Libina Velayudhan, Mehreen Raj, Nabanita Chakrabarty, Payal Bhatia, Priyadarshini Maha, Sumana Chatterjee, and Zulaikha Khan were acknowledged for Excellence in Corporate.
Dr Priyanka Bhatta and Dr Walaa Abdelrahman were honoured for Excellence in Health, while Lara Tseng and Rawan Haj Husein were recognised for Excellence in Media. Claudia Pinto and Dr Alka Kalra received recognition for Excellence in Philanthropy, and Asmi Ahmad, Dr Sonakshi, Dr Vanessa, Elvan Sener, Eseohe Arokamoni, Jyotsna Ahuja, Margaret Fialho, Shumaila Imtiaz, and Walaa Shaaban were honoured for Excellence in Wellness.
The event unveiled the BeingShe Excellence Icons, a special collectors’ edition book showcasing all the 2023 winners.
The ceremony provided a platform for networking, while being supported by partners like Channel4, Mai Dubai, Citizen, Sheraton, DCom, ClickTap.
On the same night, BeingShe launched the BeingShe Cares initiative, an open portal where members and the public in need of financial assistance can refer cases.
The BeingShe Excellence Business and Professional Awards will be back in 2024.
